It is with great sorrow that we inform everyone that our colleague, partner, and friend Donald P. Wiley passed away on October 27. Don, whose specialty was civil litigation, was with Baker Dublikar 27 years.
Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Don majored in history at Grove City (Pa.) College and graduated sixth in his class from the University of Akron School of Law.
In addition to the practice of law, Don was very active in his community. He served as a North Canton City Councilman and on the North Canton Board of Zoning Appeals. He was a member of the Stark County Bar Association and coached youth football and baseball for over 12 years. His service and dedication were recognized when he was named North Canton’s Community Volunteer of the Year.
Don also was the proud father of three sons, Matt, Michael, and Mark. Most recently, Don lived in Hudson, where he again volunteered for community, church, and youth related activities.
Don took Baker Dublikar’s maxim of “good lawyers, good people” to heart. He was both a good lawyer and a good person, and we will miss him.
