In August of 2021, Ralph Dublikar defended Pike Mutual Insurance Company in a case involving a claim for property damage under a homeowner's insurance policy arising from a fire at the plaintiffs' home. Pike Mutual had paid the plaintiffs over $90,000 in response to their claim prior to suit being filed. Plaintiffs were claiming to be entitled to an additional $300,000 in compensatory and punitive damages. Plaintiffs claimed breach of contract and bad faith. After a two-week trial, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of defendant Pike Mutual, finding that there was no breach of contract and that Pike Mutual was not guilty of bad faith.
