Andrea Ziarko handles a wide range of civil litigation matters, including political subdivision and employment law, insurance coverage issues, personal injury claims and appellate work, as well as cases involving contract and business disputes claims. She also specializes in research and legal writing involving complex issues in police liability and civil rights litigation.
A skilled writer and effective appellate advocate, Andrea takes pride in her ability to craft and present compelling, persuasive, and creative arguments to courts throughout Ohio. Andrea also counsels her business clients on risk prevention and other pre-litigation matters, including the legal ramifications of business decisions and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, in an effort to avoid future problems and unnecessary litigation expenses.
Andrea was born in Washington D.C., and grew up in North Canton, Ohio. She attended Indiana University and graduated with an Accounting major before attending The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law, where she was actively involved in the Moot Court team. She is an active member of the Stark County, Ohio State and American Bar Associations, as well as the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys.
Andrea and her husband, Michael, have three children and actively volunteer in the community. Andrea is currently the President of the North Canton City School District Board of Education, and serves on the Advisory Board of the North Canton YMCA. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Canton, Ohio, where she has strived to positively impact the community by investing in the lives of others throughout the community. She is also a former member of the North Canton Library Board of Trustees.
