Melissa Day practices in the area of civil and criminal defense litigation, handing cases that involve automobile negligence, political subdivisions and discrimination claims throughout the state of Ohio. She is authorized to practice in all State Courts throughout Ohio as well as Federal Court in the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio. A Boston native, Melissa graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1995 and from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1999 where she was a member of the award winning Moot Court Board. She is also a member of the Stark County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Order of Barristers. Melissa served as an assistant prosecutor for the Summit County Prosecutors Office, Stark County Prosecutors Office and the City of Canton Law Department. She had also worked for the Stark County Public Defender's office defending juveniles in Stark County Juvenile Court. Outside of Baker, Dublikar, Melissa is an accomplished singer and actress and has appeared in many theatrical and musical productions throughout Ohio and Stark County. She is also a Member at Large for the Board of Directors of the Great Trails Girl Scouts Council and the Vice President of her condo association. Recently married, she has earned the honor of being married to a detective with the City of Canton Police Department and the step mother to two children, 10 and 7.
